A comment was made the other day that “life stinks”. This isn’t a new expression, but surely a sad one. That ones life described by fragrance would make such a strong statement. Let’s get real hear for a moment… life, even the Christian life isn’t always a bed of roses.

It is in the bruising of the rose, the crushing of the flower, precious perfume is diffused. In the breaking of the alabaster flask and the pouring of the oil, it is His anointing that effects every environment and lingers as a memorial.

Although your eyes may not see Him, and life’s circumstances may be truly painful, there is an unmistakable heavenly fragrance about you, because you are His anointed. He is in you. His presence fills every situation with the sweet aroma of faith, love, hope, and determination. In the garden of life we are the pleasant odor rising to God. The stench is removed and His sweet anointing is not only working in you, and in every area of your life, but also through you!
